Effects on both the non-canonical and canonical pathways, induced by AZD5582 (a SMAC mimetic currently under investigation as a potential latency reversal agent [48]) and TNFα, respectively, were next compared under conditions of natural infection, using NL4.3 viruses expressing either 2_87, 2_87 S3/7A or NL4.3 Vpu in HEK293T cells (Fig. 5B), CD4+ T cells (Jurkat, Fig. 5C), and HeLa cells (TZMbl, Fig. S2).
