While the 100 cancer type-specific variants were associated with only one gene set, the 118 shared risk variants were associated with 10 gene sets including G2M checkpoint, E2F targets, interferon alpha response, IL2-STAT5 signaling, estrogen response late, mTORC1 signaling, and cholesterol homeostasis (FDR < 0.05).
