We found that in the treatment with palmitic acid (PA) and advanced glycation end products (AGEs), which are commonly used in vitro models of DKD, the protein levels of FXR and CREB5 were significantly upregulated in the HK2 cells (Supplemental Fig. 4), suggesting that these two models are suitable for our purposes.
