We recently identified an innate-like B-1a cell population in mouse peritoneal cavity that produces IL-27 and the IL-27-producing B-1a regulatory cells (i27-Breg) suppress experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) or experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), two CNS mouse autoimmune disease models of human uveitis and multiple sclerosis, respectively (15). Here, IL27 is linked to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
