These results were similar to the work by Yoshida et al. [16] who found that high AQP1 expression in stage II/III colon cancer was strongly associated with regional lymph node metastasis and the 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in the positive AQP1 expression group than the negative group (73.7% vs. 87.9%, p = 0.03). Here, AQP1 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
