Some circRNAs have also been reported to inhibit ferroptosis via signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), platelet derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA), integrin subunit beta 8 (ITGB8), and other pathways and play important regulatory roles in the progression of various cancers, such as breast cancer, glioma, lung cancer, HCC, colorectal cancer, ALL, and esophageal cancer (Zhang et al., 2020a; Xian et al., 2020; Zhang et al., 2021b; Yao et al., 2021; Chen et al., 2022a; Yang et al., 2022) (Table 2; Figure 2). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and glioma.
