Third, since the potential immunosuppressive role of Siglec15 in gliomas was obtained from bioinformatics analysis, efforts such as functional experiments need to be made to understand how Siglec15 dysregulation occurs in the tumor immune microenvironment and to determine whether Siglec15 inhibitors may have therapeutic effects in gliomas in preclinical studies.
