BRAF and melanoma: It has been shown that conditional knockout of EZH2, or inhibition of methyltransferase activity with small-molecule inhibitors of EZH2 lead to a remarkable reduction of proliferation of human melanoma cell lines and drastically diminish lymph node and lung metastases in mouse melanoma model (Zingg et al., 2015), and potentiate drug response in melanoma cell lines resistant to BRAF inhibitors (Uebel et al., 2023).
