DUSP4, a member of the dual specificity phosphatase family, is considered an oncogenic gene that has been shown to be associated with proliferation, migration, and tumorigenicity in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and colorectal cancer (Xu et al., 2020; Han et al., 2021; Zeng et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene DUSP4 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
