To test the role of CNK2 and CNK3 in cancer cell motility, we conducted wound healing migration assays using six cancer cell lines that co-expressed both genes (Supplementary Data 2) and that were capable of collective cell migration, namely, U2OS (osteosarcoma), HOS (osteosarcoma), A549 (lung adenocarcinoma), A375 (melanoma), LN-229 (glioblastoma), and MDA-MB-231 (breast adenocarcinoma) cells. This evidence concerns the gene CNKSR3 and lung adenocarcinoma.
