These findings are in agreement with the results of other teams, describing an increase in the number of peripheral CD8+ T cells reacting against EBV lytic cycle proteins (BZLF-1 and BMFL-1) of MS patients with active lesions on MRI, suggesting a correlation between the elevation of these lytic cycle protein-specific CD8+ T cells and active disease phases [100]. Here, CD8A is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
