ELOF1 and allergic disease: Among these 55 D. farinae proteins, 29 proteins have been recognized by the World Health Organization/International Union of Immunological Societies (WHO/IUIS) Allergen Nomenclature Subcommittee and have been associated with allergic symptoms, and 6 proteins (Allergen, MAG29, Alpha-actinin, Zen 1 protein, elongation factor 1, and Der f 9) have been associated with allergy (18, –, 21).
