CD96 is highly expressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), and myelodysplastic syndromes (Meyer et al., 2009; Zhang et al., 2015) and has been proposed as a cancer stem cell marker for leukemia (Hosen et al., 2007). The gene discussed is CD96; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
