Another study explored the correlation between KRAS mutations in rectal cancer and tumor morphology in magnetic resonance images, and found that the average axial/longitudinal ratio of KRAS mutations in rectal cancer was greater than that of KRAS wild-type tumors (0.46 ± 0.29 vs. 0.36 ± 0.20, P = 0.009) [9].
