CD86 and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis: Conversely, in the adult brain in the context of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, co-expression of CR4+ and MHC-II on microglia enhanced expression of co-stimulatory molecules such as CD80 and CD86, ultimately leading to higher proliferation of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-specific CD4+ T cells in vitro.
