Based on our study, the increased expression levels of SKP2 in tumors may result from regulation of the TF FOXM1, as evidenced by (1) the high expression of both FOXM1 and SKP2 in 15 cancers (CESC, etc.); (2) positive correlations between the expressions of FOXM1 and SKP2 in the 15 tumors; and (3) the presence of binding peaks of FOXM1 upstream of the transcription start site of SKP2. However, the possible mechanisms of SKP2 expression in cancers may be complicated. This evidence concerns the gene TF and cancer.
