After establishing a model in which we subcutaneously injected tumor cells mixed with a two-fold number of CD146 WT or KO macrophages into both flanks of WT and T-cell-deficient mice (Rag1 knockout), we found that tumor cells mixed with CD146-KO macrophages developed faster than those mixed with CD146 WT macrophages in WT mice (Fig. 4G). The gene discussed is RAG1; the disease is neoplasm.
