Contactin-associated protein 5c (Cntnap5c), a member of a cell adhesion protein family implicated in interneuron development and function (Bridi et al., 2017), was selectively upregulated in 3xTg-AD mice exposed to alcohol versus WT controls but not in 3xTg-AD mice or WT mice exposed to alcohol versus WT controls in parvalbumin, Lamp5, and Sst neurons, and decreased in L6 CT neurons (Fig. 4A). The gene discussed is LAMP5; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
