NFKB1 and infection: Consistent with previous reports on HIV-1C viruses obtained during chronic phase of infection in South Africa [29,30], our data show that in addition to 3 types of NF-kB binding sites, C-kB (5’‐GGGGCGTTCC‐3’), H‐kB [I (5’‐GGGACTTTCC‐3’) and II (5’‐GGGACTTTCC‐3’)] there is an insertion of the fourth NF‐kB binding site, F‐kB (5’‐GGGACTTTCT‐3’).
