Previous literature reported that TCF20 variation is associated with some severe neuropsychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, generalized anxiety disorder and seizure (Smeland et al., 2017; Vetrini et al., 2019; Lévy et al., 2022)) and the occurrence, development, metastasis and recurrence of multiple tumors (e.g., gliomas, meningiomas, and ovarian and colon cancers (Rekdal et al., 2000)). This evidence concerns the gene TCF20 and generalized anxiety disorder.
