According to this, a component isolated from traditional Chinese medicine, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Tanshinone IIA, provoked cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis and inhibited the proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma cells through the downregulation of the CCNA2-CDK2 complex, the same effect observed using Ocoxin [77]. Here, CDK2 is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
