As shown in Table 4, even though Ocoxin caused the overexpression and infraexpression of genes involved in metabolic and cancer-related processes and in the p53 pathway, most of the upregulated genes were related, as well, to the PI3K-Akt, mTOR and MAPK signaling pathways, protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum, autophagy and apoptosis, and the downregulated genes were principally implicated in cell cycle and DNA replication, among others (Table 4). The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is cancer.
