IL6 and Alzheimer disease: Along this line, a just-completed study involving the administration of the senolytics Dasatinib+Quercetin (D+Q) to AD patients for 3 months reported an increase in plasma levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6 and a decrease in brain/CSF levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, both suggesting that an increase in brain and/or peripheral inflammation may have been induced by DQ treatment [14].
