They encompass a broad range of neurodegenerative diseases, including but not limited to frontotemporal dementia, characterized by frontotemporal lobar degeneration; Pick’s disease, characterized by Pick cells and bodies; progressive supranuclear palsy 1, characterized by neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) and gliosis; and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a hallmark neurodegenerative disease characterized by the misfolding and aggregation of a wide range of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), including Tau [4,5,6,7].
