BRAF and ovarian cancer: Relative to its genetic origin, as commented before, mutations in the BRAF oncogene are found in approximately 50% of MM, but they are also observed in other cancers such as hairy cell leukemia, papillary thyroid cancers, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, soft tissue cancer, ovarian cancer, and breast cancer, with varying rates ranging from 2% to 100% [28].
