Both drugs, cetuximab and panitumumab, are considered first-line treatments for CRC [23] with no inferiority between them, as well as side effects, as shown in the phase III Panitumumab versus cetuximab in patients with chemotherapy-refractory wild-type KRAS exon 2 mCRC (ASPECCT) study, with an OS of 10.0 months for cetuximab and 10.4 months for panitumumab, 95% CI 0.839–1.113, HR 0.97, p < 0.0007 for noninferiority [61]. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and colorectal carcinoma.
