Another report in which CRC mRNA expression data was integrated with microbiome information from several datasets revealed that 41 overexpressed genes in CRC (including AURKA, AURKB, BUB1, CCNA2, CDK1, CENPF, MAD2L1, TPX2 and UBE2C) are enriched in microtubule and tubule binding and were negatively associated with the presence of fusobacteria and positively associated with blautia, suggesting that these bacteria are interacting partners for modulating gene expression [135]. The gene discussed is CCNA2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
