CPS1 and colorectal carcinoma: Our data suggested that, in CRC, the up-regulation of carbamoyl phosphate synthase 1 (CPS1) (FC = 1.56 (95% CI 1.16–2.10), see Figure 8A) might help cancer cells to convert the toxic NH4 to carbamoyl phosphate (CP) that could be utilized for pyrimidine synthesis for growth and proliferation.
