For instance, tisotumab vedotin, an investigational antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) directed against tissue factor (TF), a protein highly prevalent in multiple solid tumors, has demonstrated antitumor activity with a manageable and tolerable safety profile in women with previously treated recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer in a phase II clinical trial (NCT03438396) [72]. Additionally, as cervical cancer is caused by viral carcinogenesis, there is hope for the development of therapeutics that can trigger immune responses against both HPV and tumors in the coming years. Here, TF is linked to cervical cancer.
