In recent years, the malnutrition criteria that have been proposed by the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM) include three phenotypic criteria (involuntary weight loss, low BMI, and less muscle mass) and two etiological criteria (reduced feeding or digestive and absorption disorders, inflammation or disease burden), and inflammatory indicators including CRP, ALB and PAB (39).
