Except for PAI‐1 antigen level that was significantly elevated in poorly controlled T2DM patients (p < 0.0001), there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of TAFI, APTT, PT, INR, and platelet count between T2DM patients with poor glycemic control and those with good glycemic control (p > 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene SERPINE1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
