Patients with high TyG index had more high-risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (higher BMI, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, higher long-term treatment of antihypertensive agents and antidiabetic agents or insulin, higher values of TC, TG, and LDL-C, and lower values of HDL-C, than did those with TyG index < 8.9.
