The results of this study also show that these exosomes are attached to the Smad3 3′-UTR after being captured by tumor cells by endocytosis [investigated by Luciferase (Gluc) activity assays] and lead to the reduction of xenograft tumor growth according to the immunohistochemistry and TUNEL assay results in both in vivo (BALB/c nude mice) and in vitro conditions (165). This evidence concerns the gene SMAD3 and neoplasm.
