SEMA4D is an oncogene that functions in a variety of tumors, including colorectal carcinoma (14), cervical cancer (15), ovarian cancer (16), soft tissue carcinomas (17), oral cancer (18), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (19), non-small cell lung cancer (2), osteosarcoma (20) and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (21), by binding to Plexin-B1, Plexin-B2 and CD72 receptors (22) and is associated with tumor growth and a poor prognosis.
