VEGFC and cancer: We examined the VEGF-C content in cancer cell supernatant by using ELISA, and found that the VEGF-C content in the supernatant of HCT-8/ANRIL cells were significantly higher than that in the culture supernatant of HCT-8/Vector cells (P < 0.05), while it was significantly decreased when HCT-8/Vector cells were treated with PZH (P < 0.05), and the inhibitory effect of PZH on VEGF-C secretion was attenuated with ANRIL overexpression (HCT-8/Vector+PZH group vs HCT-8/ANRIL + PZH group, P < 0.05) (Fig. 8F).
