On univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis (Online Table 1), advanced age (≥ 75 years) (odd ratio [OR] 7.87, 95% CI 2.60–23.86: p-value < 0.001), history of stroke (OR 5.63, 95% CI 1.82–17.41: p-value = 0.003), LVEF < 40% (OR 5.49, 95% CI 1.51–19.86: p-value = 0.01), and serum albumin < 3.5 g/dL (OR 11.06, 95% CI 3.55–34.49: p-value < 0.001) were independently associated with frail (CFS ≥ 5). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and Stroke.
