Together with the findings of lower Cdk5 mRNA expression in the hippocampus [69] and increased CXCL1 gene expression in prefrontal cortical microvessels of Tau-related AD patients [70], these results indicate that Cdk5 deficiency in brain endothelial cells promotes CXCL1 secretion [71].
