TMEM106b is a lysosomal protein thathas been implicated as a risk modifier for frontotemporal lobar degeneration(FTLD)-TDP.33,34 Furthermore, the C-terminal fragmenthas been shown to form amyloid fibrils in various neurodegenerativediseases.35,36 We collected SAXS data on a large formulationlibrary of TMEM106b-targeting ASO-loaded LNPs (ASO-LNPs)and identified formulations that generated diverse results for cryo-EManalysis. The gene discussed is TMEM106B; the disease is frontotemporal dementia.
