Genistein treatment (10−5 to 10−10 μmol) in an acute myocardial ischemia model, increased the endothelial colony-forming cell (ECFC) migration and proliferation, and parallel increased the expression of ILK, α-parvin, F-actin, and phosphorylation of ERK 1/2 signaling. This evidence concerns the gene ILK and myocardial ischemia.
