A recent study illustrated that CCR2 inhibition using the orally available small molecule inhibitor of CCR2 CCX872 in murine glioma models reduced MDSC tumor infiltration by sequestering these CCR2+ cells within the bone marrow; this ultimately resulted in the reversal of GBM resistance to anti-PD-1 therapies and increased median survival alone and median and OS when used combinatorically with anti-PD-1 therapy (119). This evidence concerns the gene CCR2 and glioma.
