Although, to the best of our knowledge, our study is the first immunohistochemical study addressing the correlation of DDR1 expression with clinicopathologic parameters, the positive relation to adverse parameters was consistent with previous studies not only regarding CRCs [34] but also in other types of cancer such as renal cell carcinoma [35] and gastric carcinoma [36]. This evidence concerns the gene DDR1 and hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
