In the present study, treatment of BBR LCNPs to human lung adenocarcinoma cells (A549) significantly reduced the expression of the WNT/β-catenin pathway markers β-catenin and Axin1 at transcript level and β-catenin at protein level at a concentration of just 5 μM, which is two times lower than previously reported studies (Albring et al. 2013). This evidence concerns the gene AXIN1 and lung adenocarcinoma.
