A previous study showed that the negativity influence of BRCA1 expression is associated with ER-/PR-/HER- receptors [85], suggesting that BRCA1 mRNA expression cannot be used as a follow-up marker for PSS and PL medication in TNBC, and that other genes involved in DNA repair may be responsive to this treatment instead of BRCA1. In spite of the negative results identified through an exploration of BRCA1, the anti-BC effects mediated through exposure to PSS and PL can be compromised by other genes, as shown in Fig. 7C-H. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and breast cancer.
