SLCO1B1 and pancreatic neoplasm: The number of surviving GFP-positive pancreatic cancer cells under gemcitabine exposure increased significantly universally in MIA PaCa-2 (Fig. 3a and Supplementary Fig. 6a) and SUIT-2 (Fig. 3b and Supplementary Fig. 6b) when co-cultured with HEK293T, which was knocked out for eight candidate genes: C9orf89, C19orf70, C21orf33, ENAM, MAGI2, MLPH, RHBDD2, and SLCO1B1. The knockout of these eight genes in the supporting cells universally induced the survival of leukemia cells under cytarabine and pancreatic cancer cells under gemcitabine.
