Since many cancer cells overexpress folate receptors, folic acid has long been used as a specific targeting agent for chemotherapy drug delivery.41,42 Recent studies have shown that folic acid loading cisplatin improved the cisplatin chemotherapy of ovarian cancer.43 As in our results of mass spectrometry (MS) analysis in Fig. 5a, b, we found C1QBP, another RPS15 partner, could bind to RPS15 (data not shown). The gene discussed is RPS15; the disease is cancer.
