In our model, the percentage of circulating CD11b+F4/80+ macrophages was not modified by the treatment (Supplemental Figure 11D), but F4/80+MRC1+ macrophage percentages were significantly higher in mice with sepsis that were treated with scrambled miRNA or anti–miR-93-5p compared with sham-operated mice (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05).
