CD4 and Sepsis: The frequency of CD4+ T cells strongly increased in a sepsis-specific manner, with higher levels in both scrambled control miRNA– and anti–miR-93-5p–treated groups compared with the sham-operated and control groups (anti–miR-93-5p vs. sham: P < 0.0001, scrambled control vs. sham: P < 0.0001; anti–miR-93-5p vs. control: P < 0.05, scrambled control vs. control: P < 0.01) (Supplemental Figure 10C).
