Drugs such as platinum and paclitaxel are considered at intermediate risk of gonadotoxicity.33 There are strategies to minimize gonadotoxic damage using gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists that decrease the risk of premature ovarian failure (POF).33 Unfortunately, none of the studies in the literature provided information regarding the use of these treatment regimens, which should be considered the optimum to ensure the best chance of preserving patients’ fertility. Here, GNRH1 is linked to primary ovarian failure.
