Therefore, to elucidate the potential role of S. aureus in contributing to the exacerbation of allergic responses during AD, we tested the ability of a S. aureus strain isolated from an AD patient to induce IL-33, as well as two other epithelial cell-derived cytokines, IL-25 and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), in the human keratinocyte cell line, KERTr cell. This evidence concerns the gene TSLP and Alzheimer disease.
