Further analysis indicated opposing roles for Cdh1 and AROS in the epigenetic regulation of SASP-related genes and the activity of pinosylvin during bleomycin-induced pulmonary senescence, which suggests that a novel mechanism finely controls SIRT1 stability during stress-induced senescence and provides a potential target for senolytic drugs in the treatment of lung fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and pulmonary fibrosis.
