To further validate the clinical relevance and HRG expression, we analysed a cohort of liver cancer for HRG immunohistochemical staining and found that lower HRG expression in primary tumours was associated with shortened overall survival, metastasis‐free survival and lung metastasis‐free survival in patients (Figures 1B and S1b), and lower HRG expression in primary tumours was associated with extrahepatic metastases and lung metastases (Figure S1c). The gene discussed is HRG; the disease is liver cancer.
