Most T lymphocytes are αβ T cells; however, less common than αβ T cells, but significantly enriched in epithelial sites such as the skin, are γδ T lymphocytes (37), with prevalent contribution in IL-17 production both in the imiquimod (IMQ)-induced Ps-like skin inflammation model and human Ps lesions (40–44), rarely found in healthy people. The gene discussed is IL17A; the disease is dermatitis.
